Embrace the Summer Vibes with Your Furry Friends: Biota’s Guide and Map to Pet-Friendly Spots in Orangeville

Updated: Jun 28

Hey there, pet pals and adventurers! Can you feel it? The sun is shining brighter, the days are getting longer, and the summer vibes are rolling in like a wave of warmth. As the temperature rises, it’s the perfect time to explore the great outdoors with your furry companions. And guess what? Orangeville and its surrounding areas are bursting with pet-friendly places just waiting for you to sniff out!

At Biota Pet Care, we know how important it is for you and your pets to have an awesome time together, which is why we’ve put together the ultimate map and guide to pet-friendly spots in Orangeville. From local shops to outdoor patios, we’ve got you covered!

Check out the map embedded below (at the end of this blog post)!!

Shop ’Til You Drop: Who says shopping is just for humans? Many local shops in Orangeville welcome our four-legged friends with open arms (and treats!). Whether you’re browsing for the latest pet accessories or simply window-shopping, you can bring your furry sidekick along for the adventure. Check out the map below to see which stores you are allowed to bring your dog into!

Dine Al Fresco: Craving a bite to eat? Why not enjoy a meal at one of Orangeville’s outdoor patios that welcome pets? There’s nothing quite like savouring a delicious meal with your furry bestie by your side. From cozy cafes to bustling bistros, there’s a spot for every taste bud.

My personal favourite spot to bring your dog is by far - Goodlot Farm & Goodlot Farmstead Brewing Co. just outside of Orangeville in Alton. This outdoor beer garden has something for everyone, and every dog! Beer, hopyard and gardens, a disc golf course, live music, food truck catered by Soulyve (best catering in town! I think at one point they even had frozen dog treats!), and trails out back to walk your dog (with a cold beer in your other hand!). But remember to always keep your dog on leash as there are many other dogs, and free roaming chickens (and they rent sheep for a few months in the summer too!).

Explore Nature’s Playground: Orangeville is blessed with beautiful parks and trails just waiting to be explored. Grab your leash, lace up your walking shoes, and get ready to embark on an outdoor adventure with your pet. Whether you’re strolling through lush greenery or frolicking in wide-open spaces, you’ll both feel rejuvenated by the fresh air and sunshine!

My personal favourites are Island Lake, and just outside of Orangeville is the Upper Credit Conservation Area, Alton Grange, and Forks of the Credit.

Stay Healthy and Happy: Of course, we can’t forget about your pet’s well-being. That’s why our map also highlights veterinary clinics in Orangeville and surrounding areas. From routine check-ups to emergency care, these clinics are dedicated to keeping your furry friends healthy and happy all year round. It’s peace of mind knowing that help is never far away.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your pet, grab our map, and get ready to make some unforgettable memories this summer in Orangeville. Whether you’re shopping ’til you drop, dining al fresco, exploring nature’s playground, or staying healthy and happy, there’s something for everyone in our pet-friendly paradise. Let’s make this summer one to remember, one wagging tail and wet nose at a time! Until next time, stay pawsitive!
